overwhelmed much?

So much homework, so little time. I honestly wish that we could go back to the block schedule. We do not have enough time to do anything in class with a 50 min time span. Basically the teacher instructs the whole time ( which is of course needed so we can learn) and then we are left with a very brief moment for an explanation of the homework and to get started on it. I just feel so overwhelmed. It gets hard to manage everything when you get homework in every class, almost every night. I am a perfectionist so the last thing I will allow to happen, is increasingly fall behind. This new schedule is not only hard on us, I bet it is in fact hard on the teachers as well.
Since we are limited on time in class, I feel like I am not getting the best education possible because the teachers are forced to run through things very quickly in hopes that we can get through it. I believe, in other words, that many kids feel rushed and confused, and that when they get home they have no idea what to do.
We are in desperate need of more time.
